We love doctor V! She is so nice, patient, and gentle with my son even when he is screaming and trying to destroy the office. She also truly cares for all of her patients and is always there for emergency situations or questions. When we were looking for an insurance we made sure to get one we can use with her because we don't want to go to any other doctor.

Dr. V is simply the best pediatrician I could have asked for. She even does emergency calls after office hours if needed! We've never had an issue and she treats our daughter like it's her own. It's also really easy to get an appointment, unlike other doctors where you're waiting for weeks.

Can't recommend Dr V and the entire staff more. We did so much research to find both a doctor and office team that we could trust and we absolutely found the best with Wonderkidz. Highly recommend especially for first time parents who run a bit anxious - Dr V is so reassuring and always available for questions by text or call.

Finding a pediatrician you trust is so hard, but we feel so lucky to have found WonderKidz. The office is always clean, the staff is friendly, and Dr. V takes her time to answer every single one of our questions without making us feel rushed. A truly wonderful practice.

Dr. V has been seeing my daughter since she was born. She has such a calming presence that even my usually shy toddler is comfortable with her. We were able to get a same-day sick appointment last week and were seen right away. Thank you for the amazing care!

Frequently Asked Parent Questions
Frequently Asked Parent Questions
Are pediatric check ups really necessary if my child seems healthy?
▼Yes! Many health issues (vision problems, hearing loss, developmental delays, high blood pressure, obesity) have no obvious symptoms initially. Regular check ups catch these problems early. Check ups also provide essential vaccines, track growth patterns, and give you expert guidance on nutrition, safety, and development.
Will my insurance cover pediatric check ups?
▼Yes, preventive pediatric check ups are covered at 100% (no copay or deductible) by all insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act for children ages 0-21. This includes well child visits, vaccines, and many screenings. Additional services beyond standard preventive care may have associated costs.
What should I bring to my child's first appointment?
▼Please bring your child's insurance card, any previous medical records, immunization history, a list of current medications, and a photo ID. If your child is a newborn, bring hospital discharge papers and birth records as well.
Do you accept my insurance?
▼We accept most major insurance plans including Florida Blue, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, Humana, and Medicaid. Please call our office at (954) 799-4086 to verify your specific plan is accepted.
What vaccinations do you provide?
▼We provide all CDC-recommended childhood vaccinations including MMR, DTaP, polio, hepatitis, HPV, meningococcal, flu shots, and COVID-19 vaccines. We follow the recommended immunization schedule to keep your child protected and healthy.
How do I know if my child needs to be seen for a fever?
▼Call us immediately if your child is under 3 months with any fever over 100.4°F. For older children, seek care if the fever persists beyond 3 days, exceeds 104°F, or is accompanied by severe symptoms like difficulty breathing, persistent vomiting, rash, or extreme lethargy.
Do you offer telehealth or virtual visits?
▼Yes, we offer telehealth appointments for non-emergency concerns such as follow-up visits, minor illnesses, behavioral questions, medication management, and general parenting advice. Call our office to schedule a convenient virtual visit.
What is your sick visit policy?
▼We reserve same-day appointments for sick children every day. Please call our office as early as possible in the morning to secure a same-day slot. For urgent concerns after hours, we have an on-call physician available 24/7.
How often should my child have well-child check-ups?
▼Well-child visits are recommended frequently in the first 2 years: at 3-5 days, 1 month, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, and 24 months. After age 2, annual check-ups are recommended to monitor growth, development, and ensure vaccinations stay current.
What is your cancellation policy?
▼We kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another family in need. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to schedule future appointments.
How can I reach the doctor after hours?
▼For after-hours medical concerns, call our main office number at (954) 799-4086 and you'll be connected with our answering service who will page our on-call pediatrician. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
